(May 20,2017) Jacob Ireri (CEO DESK) in Uganda at Uganda National Association of the Deaf (UNAD) offices with some of UNAD officials including Doreen (Gender and vulnerable group co-ordinator), Joseph (Advocacy officer), Kahard (Finance officer).

They held a talk on among other things, livelihood and inclusive education, consultancy, human rights, fundraising, NGO sustainability, stakeholder and partnership development. They pledged to work closely together for the benefit of the Deaf people community. Given the fact that UNAD is a "developed" DPO in E. African community, relations between UNAD and DESK cordial that DESK would borrow and incorporate some of the existing best practices as it continues to play it's mandate.

DESK CEO noted that there are best practices that DESK can adopt and replicate for the benefit of Deaf Kenyans. Therefore, he pledged to invite UNAD officials to Kenya to support DESK in the area of capacity building in the next few months.
