Jacob Mugambi

Kenya Sign Language Instructor / Deaf Community Welfare Officer

Jacob Mugambi is the Kenya Sign Language Instructor / Deaf Community Welfare Officer at the Deaf Empowerment Society of Kenya. He is skilled at reaching out and identifying extremely needy Deaf homesteads and communities and highlighting their needs to the organization for further support. He additionally ensures quality facilitation of DESK Kenya Sign Language classes and all Kenya Sign Language marketing strategies. Jacob is a former alumnus of the St. Mary Magdalene High School in Embu. His ultimate goal is to become a strong advocate for the Deaf community and ensure their equal inclusion in all important opportunities in the public and private sectors.

Deaf Empowerment Society of Kenya has an overarching goal of being a leading thought-leader in all matters affecting the Deaf in Kenya and all over the world as it seeks to ensure equal opportunities in all walks of life for the Deaf persons residing in Embu County and throughout Kenya.
