Why Us?

Fighting Prejudice against Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons

We fight discrimination and prejudice against Deaf and Hard of Hearing people as we believe that they have the skills necessary to succeed in life but opportunities are not always equally distributed among them.

Economic Empowerment and Sustainable Livelihoods

Lifting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and their families out of extreme poverty through self employment, sustainable economic activities and business development.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights

To empower Deaf and hard of hearing populations on their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights to take control and hold decision-makers accountable.

Inclusive Education

Skills training to Teachers and Education stakeholders to promote an understanding of Deaf education, and gives practical strategies to manage Deaf learners.

Human Rights and Advocacy

building the capacity of key institutions that are engaged in the implementation of the law to enhance the enforcement of rights of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Kenyan Sign Language and Awareness

Breaking the communication barrier for the Deaf and Hard of hearing by bringing the community closer to the Deaf through Kenyan Sign Language training and awareness.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Setting an ambitious vision to achieve universal access to safely managed water and sanitation while prioritizing the poorest and most vulnerable among them the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Decent Jobs and Employment Opportunities

Fighting Discrimination and social prejudice against Deaf and Hard of Hearing people by advocating for decent jobs and employment opportunities for them.

Food and Non-Food Aid

Supporting extremely poor Deaf and Hard of Hearing members and their families with essential food and hygiene items to increase their resilience during emergencies.

Other programs and Services

translation and interpretation, referrals of services like education, health, social, economic and referrals of parents of Deaf children to get necessary assistance.
