Pauline Murugi Njue

Finance Officer

Pauline serves as the dedicated Finance Officer at the Deaf Empowerment Society of Kenya (DESK), where she ensures the highest standards of financial integrity and accountability across all organizational operations. She is responsible for managing all accounting transactions and overseeing the organization's grants portal with exceptional precision.
Core Financial Responsibilities
Pauline’s role is critical to maintaining transparency for DESK’s donors and partners. Her functions include:
  • Budget Management: Preparing comprehensive budgets and maintaining meticulous financial records.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Preparing accurate financial reports and facilitating seamless internal and external audits.
  • Grant Oversight: Managing the grants portal to ensure all donor funds are tracked, reported, and utilized effectively for the benefit of the Deaf community.
Expertise in Finance and Inclusion
Pauline brings over 6 years of experience in finance and accounting, gained from challenging roles in both the private and public sectors. Her expertise is further enhanced by an additional 6 years of extensive experience in disability mainstreaming, ensuring that financial decisions are always inclusive and equitable.
  • Exceptional Qualifications: Pauline holds a First-Class Honors Degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Mysore, India.
  • Professional Certification: She has successfully completed CPA 1 from KASNEB in Kenya.
